Leaving tomorrow night. I'm gonna set a few scheduled posts.
Wow, haven't listened to this in a while.

The other day I swung by (and by swung by I mean went insanely out of my way) a little corner of the island seemingly untouched by time. With all the concrete and cookie cutter buildings that make up the rest of the country it sure was a big change. I only stayed maybe ten minutes because I was in a rush and I'm hoping to come back another day but I did take a few photos. Plus it's not exactly a big place. I did find $5 on the ground though which was pretty rad.

Ah yes that most peculiar of bikers, the fixed gear rider. Fiercely individual and unique. They can take extreme pride in their two wheeled mode of transport. Go to most any western city that has a flat and dense urban core (with reasonable biking conditions) and chances are you'll spot a few of these zipping in between traffic. New York, Vancouver, and Montreal to name a few. As for Singapore there are a few and the numbers are rising. It must be tough here though. First of all, it's hot. And not only is it hot, it's humid. Sort of like Yavin 4 (yeah that was a Star Wars reference). Second, there isn't exactly a whole lot of space on the roads. The lanes are pretty narrow here and vehicles tend to speed and change lanes fast. It also happens to rain quite heavily here. I guess this is why the bicycle courier business never really blossomed here. As for the bikes, riding without brakes is fun but damn, it really becomes not so much a question of whether an accident will happen but when will an accident happen. Although, accidents can really happen to any bike rider, even the safest of them all. Stay safe on the roads. No more ghost bikes please.

I like window seats for the most part. I enjoy looking outside. I like to see the clouds, the mountains, the stars (sometimes), the sunset and the sunrise (also sometimes), the ocean, and especially the area near the airport during take off and landing. Also I can rest my head near the window when I fall asleep. I hate having my head all flopping around when you fall asleep and there’s no place to put your head. I fall over and then end up jerking my head up when I almost wake up for an instant. Now on to what I really don’t enjoy about the window seat. I hate being stuck and having a few other people between me and the aisle and eventually the bathroom. I like going to the bathroom whenever I want to when I’m on a plane. If only the window seat also had an aisle next to it. Then I could look out the window and also have easy access to the bathroom. I’m sure there’s a small plane somewhere where I can do this. However this setup wouldn’t be ideal if I was travelling with a friend and I wanted to sit next to this friend. Although if it was a friend I would be a lot more comfortable with bothering them when I needed to go to the bathroom or being bothered if I was in the aisle seat and they needed to go to the bathroom.

Sometimes you just need to put your head down and rest.
I should write more but I really just want to sit and do absolutely nothing right now.
