Merry Christmas to everyone that celebrates it! I'm stuck out in Seattle for now because of a big blizzard that is cancelling all flights into and out of the NYC area. Normally that wouldn't be very bad but now in the day and a half that I have left in NY I need to help my brother move out and then jump onto another flight. Total bad timing for this blizzard. Holiday lift 2010 is on! It's gonna be a rush!

I was really looking forward to watching the lunar eclipse but I just went outside and there's too much cloud cover. Sad days.

Pacific Northwest!

I recently picked up an old manual focus zoom lens for a pretty good price over the internet. I'm really happy with it and it's been great fun to use so far.

The subway loudly rumbles over the bridge as the train makes its way from Manhattan to Brooklyn. I can see the Brooklyn Bridge through the windows and the Statue of Liberty peeks through in the distance. I've always loved the light that comes into the subway on a sunny day. The New York City dust that coats the windows adds a special character to the light that I've rarely seen elsewhere. I'm doing the straight shot out to Coney Island. I'll be on this subway out to its last stop. People will get on and get off and I'll still be here. The subway goes express for part of the trip so the travel time will be cut down a bit. The riders are all quiet on my subway car. Everyone is staring into space or listening to music. At Coney Island the sun is out but it's freezing cold. There are a few people walking along the boardwalk. The most amazing thing I saw was a man running in shorts and no shirt. I can barely last five minutes with no gloves on and he was running and running.

Strawberry Fields

I can't believe there were only six episodes of The Walking Dead and that it's already over. Gotta wait for so long until it starts up again. Sad face.
